Starting off your weekend countdown "Wright," we’re glad to feature the George Madison Millard home of Highland Park, Ill. This Prairie School home was designed for George and Alice Millard by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright himself (Wright also designed the Millards’ second home in Pasadena, Calif.).

The four-bed, three-bath home is on the market for $1.25 million.

The 3,013-square-foot home follows the Arts and Crafts-style aesthetic typical of the Prairie School model in which it was designed. The flowing living areas of the home are furnished with warm hardwood floors and trim, and admit greenery of the wooded corner lot through many decorative leaded-glass windows.

Outside, the home draws interest from the unique second-floor cantilevered bedrooms. Built in 1906, the home was added to the National Historic Register in 1982.

This listing is presented by Jan Kerr.
