Location: Bethesda, Md.
Price: $6,999,000
The Skinny: Twenty minutes northwest of downtown Washington, this modern suburban home feels worlds away, thanks to the wooded setting, views of the river, and walls of windows to enjoy the scenery. Designed by Robert Gurney, a premier mid-Atlantic architect, the 10,000-square-foot mansion was completed in 2010, and shows little wear since, with four bedrooms; six bathrooms; glass bridges between wings; elevator; infinity pool; heated floors; and a five-car garage.

All that luxury doesn’t come cheap, especially so close to D.C. This property, despite measuring a measly 0.62 acres, is asking a whopping $7 million. Within range of plenty of politicos for sure, but we’re not sure how many politicians want be living in a glass house.
