Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate enters Missouri

Real estate franchisor Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC now has a presence in Missouri, with the addition of Southwest Realtors to its network.

Founded in 2004 and led by co-owners Leslie Horner and Wes Cafourek, Springfield-based Southwest Realtors’ 33 agents will now do business as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Southwest Group.

"Joining the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network gives us an edge within our immediate and surrounding markets with its new age, dynamic approach to real estate that will be essential to our growth," Horner said in a statement. "The brand’s name recognition and online tools provided by the network will enhance our marketing capabilities and generate new leads from day one."

Southwest is the 11th brokerage to affiliate with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate this year, and the franchisor’s network now encompasses 25 states, the companies said.

"Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Southwest Group is an innovative company that in a short time has become a market leader in Republic and western Missouri counties," said Sherry Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC, in a statement.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate added a 23-agent Arizona brokerage late last month.

A Realogy Corp. subsidiary launched in 2008, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is affiliated with brokerages that employ about 7,600 sales associates working out of more than 230 offices in Canada and 25 U.S. states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
