Georgia’s FMLS providing e-signatures for members

Atlanta-based First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) has signed a multi-year agreement with GoPaperless Solutions Inc. to provide electronic signatures on forms and contracts used by the MLS’s 30,000 members.

GoPaperless Solutions’ eSignOnline service has been integrated with FMLS’ FormsPro software using an application programming interface (API) provided by GoPaperless, allowing users to capture e-signatures and auto-populate the digital forms and contracts FMLS members already use with signing locations.

"FMLS FormsPro software needed a solution that would integrate with their existing forms and workflow so we developed a custom interface and used our eSignAPI, for sending documents directly to eSignOnline with auto-applied templates," said GoPaperless Solutions CEO Mehrdad Alaei in a statement.

Last year the Escondido, Calif.-based company released a cloud-based e-signature iPad app, eSignDashboard, that was a finalist for an Inman News Innovator Award in the "most innovative new technology" category.

GoPaperless Solutions, which claims more than 300,000 clients, announced an agreement in May to provide eSignOnline to more than 38,000 members of the Arizona Association of Realtors. The National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) selected GoPaperless Solutions as their preferred e-signing vendor in October.

Streamlining transactions, saving time and money on document preparation and storage and creating a smooth workflow make paperless technology an increasingly attractive tool to those in a transaction-heavy industry like real estate.

Other companies that offer e-signature tools to real estate professionals include DotLoop, Adobe EchoSign, DocuSign and RightSignature. Electronic fax provider HelloFax recently introduced a free e-signature platform, HelloSign, that it’s marketing to the real estate industry.

Realtor-owned zipLogix, which integrated e-signature technology from DocuSign into its products in August, has signed up a number of Realtor associations in recent months, including three in Pennsylvania, four in Wyoming and six in California.

Last month, the Miami Association of Realtors integrated eBrokerHouse Inc.’s paperless transaction management system into its MLS, allowing members with eBrokerHouse accounts to automatically populate listing data into, and manage, offer forms online.
