Dart Appraisal integrates appraiser database with federal registry

Dart Appraisal announced today that it has integrated its database of appraisers with the registry of The Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC), a move that it says will make it easier for the company to locate qualified appraisers in certain areas.

The APS "oversees the real estate appraisal process as it relates to federally related transactions," according to Dart Appraisal. So through the integration, Dart Appraisal will be able to check its registry against the ASC’s registry, which stores information on licensure and certification, disciplinary action and the status of appraisers.

The integration will make it easier for Dart Appraisal to identify appraisers in certain areas if an appraisal order requires recruitment of a new appraiser, the company said.

"By integrating the ASC database with our appraiser panel data, we can not only maintain the most up-to-date information on existing appraisers, but also make informed decisions quickly when adding new appraisers — all of which improves customer service and overall product quality," said Michael Dresden, executive vice president of Dart Appraisal.
