Real Trends, which publishes annual rankings of the top 1,000 U.S. real estate agents and teams by transaction sides and dollar volume, is now ranking agents and teams who have done at least 50 deals by state and city — more than 6,500 agents in all.

The “America’s Best Real Estate Agents” rankings released today cover all 50 U.S. states, and more than 600 major cities.

Visitors to the Real Trends website can click on a state on a map to see a list of agents and teams rankings by 2012 closed transaction sides and sales volume statewide, and for major cities in each state.

“There are many outstanding real estate agents in America, and, given the success of The Thousand, our joint effort with The Wall Street Journal, we believed there were thousands of other real estate agents who deserved recognition for being far above average in this profession,” said Steve Murray, Real Trends’ editor, in a statement.

Real Trends also publishes rankings of the top 500 brokerage firms in America and the top 250 firms in Canada.
