Real estate software provider planetRE has signed the largest Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate-affiliated brokerage in California to a multiyear contract for its transaction management platform, planetRE Compliance.

Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie Real Estate has more than 1,200 real estate professionals working out of 30 offices in eight counties in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Tahoe-Truckee region. The firm handled 6,500 transactions in 2012, generating $2.8 billion in sales volume.

PlanetRE says its mobile-friendly transaction management platform is built on secure cloud architecture, allowing large companies like Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie Real Estate to automate all of their transaction processes, including vendor management, compliance, communications and documents online.

The platform supports  integration with DocuSign electronic signatures, and a rules-based engine enables adaptation to different transaction dynamics for work flow, documents and file review. An RSA token-enabled Vault allows multiyear storage of all documents, communication and records.

Centralized and standardized file review with multiple MLS integration and features like email threading allow planetRE to be “a backbone of company operations, risk management and communication,” the company said.

San Jose-based planetRE announced in June that it had signed up three California brokerages affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty — Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty (San Diego), Today Sotheby’s International Realty (San Carlos), and Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty (Marin County) — as Compliance users.

Last month the company announced that it had integrated financial management software QuickBooks into its cloud-based business suite.
