Fifteen more brokerages have joined a national network built by Carrington Real Estate Services to connect brokerages to institutional investors specializing in distressed properties.

Launched in November, the Carrington Property Network had grown to five members by July. To qualify for membership, firms must be ranked among the top five in their market in terms of transactions and sales volume, and have the infrastructure in place to manage institutional business.

Member brokerages have access to training in handling short sales and real estate owned (REO) properties, as well as Carrington’s institutional real estate services, REO listings, short-sale leads, investor buyers, and property management and broker price opinion (BPO) services.

The network’s operator, Carrington Real Estate Services, owns and operates 35 brokerage offices in 25 states and is one of 18 firms under parent company Carrington Holding Company LLC.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated to correct that Chase International provides brokerage services in California and Nevada, not Utah.
