NextAce, a property intelligence service that says it’s pursuing data partnerships with major listing portals, has made its title search platform available on NextAce.com.
Previously, NextAce’s title search platform, which the company says is used to make more than 10 percent of title orders, was available only to large title companies that paid to integrate it into their back-end systems.
But now that NextAce has debuted a tool on NextAce.com, professionals including title agents, underwriters, lenders and attorneys who may not have had the cash to purchase the back-end product may gain access to NextAce’s title data.
“We’ve never made it available to the smaller guys,” NextAce CEO Don Cantral told Inman News about his company’s new online search tool. “Now they can get that same kind of lift.”
Site visitors can order information on properties including chain of title, liens, maps, taxes and document images for residential properties. NextAce delivers property information orders within minutes, and offers a workflow and streamlined search process that the company says delivers significant cost savings.
The introduction of the search tool comes shortly after NextAce’s relaunch of SearchQ.com, its consumer site that offers more basic title-related information.
In addition to enabling users to purchase basic title-relevant data as on the old SearchQ.com, the new SearchQ.com also provides detailed demographic information in free reports and investment analysis in paid reports.
Cantral told Inman News that NextAce may potentially license its data to some major listing portals. Cantral declined to name the portals due to nondisclosure agreements but suggested that they are industry leaders.
Prominent listing portals include Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com.
Under such licensing agreements, listing portals might embed a NextAce widget that would enable users to view some NextAce data for free and click a link to purchase title-relevant data, Cantral said.
Retail pricing on NextAce.com’s tax reports, available for more than 600 counties, begins at $2.95; $29.95 for ownership and equity reports, available for more than 1,000 counties; and $29.95 to $99.95 for title search packages, available for more than 500 counties.
