Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate enters Austin, Texas, market

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate has made its first foray into the Austin, Texas, market with a partnership between a San Antonio-based affiliate and a dissolving Austin firm.

San Antonio-based Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Bradford Properties will absorb 90 agents and three execs from Austin-based Goldwasser Real Estate, which is splitting into two camps.

Goldwasser Real Estate execs Tara Goldwasser, Greg Cooper and David Schneider signed a partnership with the 150-agent, six-office San Antonio firm, bringing 90 of Goldwasser Real Estate’s 110 agents with them, according to a press release announcing the deal. They will continue in leadership roles with BHGRE Bradford Properties and will continue to operate out of two of Goldwasser Real Estate’s Austin-area offices, which they plan to rebrand to their new firm.

Chad Goldwasser, ex-husband of Tara Goldwasser and a former Goldwasser Real Estate exec, has formed a new Austin-based firm where he will be joined by 20 to 25 of Goldwasser Real Estate’s agents, according to the Austin Business Journal.

Bradford Properties Chief Operating Officer Steve Servais would not comment on whether the partnership between Goldwasser Real Estate and BHGRE Bradford Properties was an acquisition or a merger.
