Yapmo tailors its enterprise social network app for real estate

Yapmo, a provider of enterprise-level social networks that’s helping companies like Chicago-based brokerage @properties boost efficiency by replacing internal emails with targeted notifications, has introduced a new edition of its cloud-based app that’s tailored for real estate.

The company says the Yapmo real estate edition can help drive property sales through efficient sharing of information such as in-house property listings, client property requests and internal referrals. The app features “collaboration loops” that can include property videos and purchase documents.

Yapmo reports that @properties, which announced that it was using the app in March, has eliminated about 25,000 emails per day by allowing agents to follow group conversations through the use of hashtags, much like Twitter.

Targeted notifications allow agents to jump on live opportunities pertinent to their specific geography or clients, generating as many as 61 in-house property sales and $1.28 million in gross commissions per month, Yapmo said.

Rye Brook, N.Y.-based brokerage Houlihan Lawrence and Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty are among the firm’s other real estate clients.
