NEW YORK — Real estate icon Dave Liniger, the co-founder and chairman of franchise giant Re/Max LLC, has simple advice for entrepreneurs looking to make a splash in the industry: “Follow your passion.”
Liniger, who led Re/Max to an initial public offering in October that netted $225 million for the firm 40 years after he and his wife founded the business, emphasized to the Real Estate Connect New York City crowd that working for the money won’t sustain you and lead to great success.
“Go live your dream,” Liniger said.
Set goals, write them down, develop a support team, ignore negative thinkers and then take off, he advised the Connect crowd. “You’ll never work another day in your life.”
