Inman News, Lumentus Social announce strategic content partnership

Inman News today announced a strategic content partnership with Lumentus Social that will provide a filtered news feed for Lumentus Social to distribute over social media networks including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Integration of Inman News and Lumentus Social is scheduled to roll out in time for the spring homebuying season.

“Real estate brokers and agents can be overwhelmed by the volume of news and information online,” said Inman News President David Stein in a statement. “Lumentus Social filters, distributes and publishes the most important information to agents and their social networks. Our partnership will help agents create more value for their online audience by allowing them to manage and share the industry news that really matters.”

Lumentus Social founder Adam Selig said that 90 percent of buyers and renters use agent names in Google searches and that 71 percent of social media users are more likely to buy from a person they are connected to online.

“An agent’s social media profile is typically the first search result people see,” Selig said in a statement.

Because real estate agents and brokers turn to Inman News for accurate and timely information, Selig said, “We are thrilled to forge this partnership so that Lumentus Social subscribers not only receive the best of Inman News, but can post what’s relevant to their audiences on their social media pages.”

In addition to receiving fresh content on a daily basis, agents and brokers will benefit from an easy way to keep their personal social media pages relevant and up to date, the ability to position themselves as industry experts, and the opportunity to stay on top of their hyperlocal community, Inman News said in a press release.
