Venture capitalists on the hunt for smart investments are looking for great founding teams, products that are defensible, and big market size, says Amy Wu, a senior associate with IA Ventures.
“I would say demonstrate your knowledge of the market, and also demonstrate that the customers that are currently using it are really passionate about the product, and would recommend it to others,” Wu says.
Look for “a lot of innovation” in 2014 in the realm of data transparency that will unlock data for different players in the ecosystem and help provide people with better solutions.
