Warren Buffett’s real estate franchise brand, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, can now claim nearly 28,000 affiliated agents in 37 states with the addition of two brokerages owned by Henderson, Nevada-based Americana Holdings.

The latest Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices affiliates — Prudential Americana Group Realtors in Las Vegas, and Phoenix-based Prudential Arizona Properties — have a combined total of nearly 2,000 agents working out of 21 offices.

Brokerage HomeServices of America created the new franchise brand in 2012 by taking a majority stake in HSF Affiliates LLC, which operates the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Prudential Real Estate and Real Living Real Estate franchise networks. Canadian-based Brookfield Asset Management is a minority stakeholder.

HSF Affiliates CEO Earl Lee said in a statement that together, the two Americana Holdings companies represented the third-biggest brokerage in the Prudential Real Estate network in 2013, “and we’re proud they’re representing Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.”

Americana Holdings CEO Mark Stark said the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand “carries the name of … one of the world’s most trusted and respected corporations. It’s also fresh and exciting — not part of the old guard in real estate — and we’re looking forward to an exceptionally bright future as part of it.”
