Ignore the shiny objects and pick the right tech tool for the job

Technology has revolutionized the business of real estate, but it’s gotten to the point where people are no longer so easily distracted by the latest shiny object, says Jason Pantana, director of content, instruction and engagement for franchise giant Coldwell Banker.

Like prescription drugs, technology tools are “constantly clamoring for our attention, promising some quick fix,” but often the side effects do more harm than good.

The trick is to define the job you’re trying to tackle first, and then go out and find the tools that can help you do that.

What kind of jobs need to be tackled? Pantana thinks that since people are visual learners, consumers are going to be crying out for a visual experience.
