Rent.com, ApartmentGuide listings feature floor plans from DIAKRIT

DIAKRIT's "D-Furnish" tool, dubbed "room planner" by RentPath, lets renters place digital furniture onto 2-D floor plans.

RentPath Inc., the parent company of ApartmentGuide and Rent.com, has partnered with DIAKRIT International to generate more than 260,000 floor plans during the past 15 months, allowing all RentPath advertisers to show prospective renters the layouts of nearly 7 million housing units.

The 2-D floor plans include a “room planner” tool that allows prospective renters to choose and arrange virtual furniture using DIAKRIT’s “D-Furnish” capabilities.

Apartment Guide is offering all advertisers the opportunity to upgrade to 3-D floor plans, which are standard with “diamond” and “platinum” ad packages. Diamond package advertisers’ listings also benefit from professional photography, videos and panoramic images.

“Premium rich media is becoming the new standard in online advertising, and together RentPath and DIAKRIT are partnering to lead the way,” the companies said.

DIAKRIT says it employs 350 workers and more than 200 freelance photographers who serve more than 1,500 real estate clients from offices in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Thailand. In addition to 2-D and 3-D floor plans, DIAKRIT performs photo editing and retouching work, property slideshows, high-end 3-D visualizations, and fly-through animations.

The company says its streamlined processes and in-house production mean it’s able “to scale its business quickly to handle large volumes in record speed and at very affordable prices.”

U.S. competitors include 3-D tour providers Floored and Matterport.
