Growing number of MLSs helping members track listing performance

The 16,000 members of Colorado’s largest multiple listing service, Metrolist, can now track their listing performance on the MLS’s public website through a dashboard from real estate software startup Vendigi.

Vendigi launched its free listing activity monitoring platform, ListTrac, in June. Since then, several MLSs have signed up for the platform, including San Diego’s Sandicor, the San Francisco Association of Realtors MLS, Georgia MLS, Greater Alabama MLS, and the Greater El Paso Association of Realtors MLS.

Denver-area MLS Metrolist is the latest to sign up for ListTrac, whose tagline is “Google Analytics for Your Listings.” The startup’s goal is to track listing activity on agent and broker Internet data exchange (IDX) sites, MLS public-facing sites and third-party portals.

For now, ListTrac will monitor Metrolist’s 11,000-plus listings on its public site, REcolorado.com. The MLS plans to add a separate tool in 2015 that will offer metrics from agent and broker IDX sites, a Metrolist spokeswoman said.

The ListTrac dashboard, branded as My REcolorado Listing Metrics, will show member agents and brokers how many times their listings have been viewed, shared and added to saved searches on REcolorado.com. Members will also be able to see how many leads the site has generated for them total and on a listing-by-listing basis.

ListTrac compares those metrics with those of similar listings to let agents know how their listing campaign is going and allows them to create seller reports to share listing performance with their clients. Listing activity is available for different time periods, including daily, weekly and monthly.
