Closing Time no longer just about getting buyers under contract to the closing table

Amitree Inc. is broadening the scope of its Closing Time app and rebranding it to highlight that it can not only guide buyers through the closing process and under contract, but that brokers and agents can use it to help prospects qualify to buy a home.

The app — rebranded simply as Amitree — now lets agents provide prospective buyers with guidance and resources for chores like getting preapproved, boosting their credit score, and consolidating financial accounts to make a down payment. The app lets buyers complete a questionnaire that generates a personalized “readiness score” that’s shared with the agent.

“Today’s buyers simply don’t have the online tools and resources that they’ve come to expect when it comes to the most important purchase of their life,” said Amitree founder and CEO Jonathan Aizen in a statement. “Now, we give agents the ability to deliver on buyers’ expectations and guide them online through every stage of the homebuying process, whether they’re just kicking tires or are closing next week.”

Launched in March and funded by Accel Partners, Amitree says more than 7,500 agents and brokerages in all 50 U.S. states and Canada use the app to help buyers get to the closing table using a dashboard that provides a personalized checklist and timeline toward closing.

Starting Monday, agents will be able to invite prospective buyers to complete a questionnaire and generate a personalized Buyer Readiness Score that is shared with the agent. The buyer’s financial situation, preapproval status, and commitment to the process is taken into account to generate their score and dashboard.

Free for agents to use with an unlimited number of buyers, Amitree also offers a paid Pro plan that provides custom branding and lets users recommend service providers.
