International listing portal Lamudi relaunches to target mobile users

Lamudi, considered one of the fastest-growing property search portals with over 750,000 property listings in 28 emerging nations, has relaunched its website to improve users’ mobile experience and reel in more advertisers.

Based in Germany, Lamudi is an international property website that began a year ago with 16 countries and now offers listings in nations from Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. The website redesign is available in all markets served by the company with the exception of Latin America, which will be relaunched in early 2015.

The new website employs responsive design, because a growing number of users access the Lamudi website on their phones in addition to desktop computers, Lamudi’s co-founder Kian Moini said in a statement.

Now lamudi.com matches any device’s screen size, and properties for sale or rent are easier to read. New search filters and a price slider let users filter their results to send to a local agent via text, email or phone call.

Dedicated sections for real estate agencies, tailored by country, and new space for advertisements are also new to the site. Moini said more features will be available in the new year.

The portal also offers an iOS app, Lamudi: Real Estate for Sale & Rent, which allows users to switch between listings in 27 countries, and issues alerts when properties a user might like are available. The app also puts potential buyers in contact with local agents.
