About the role

Inman is looking for a talented reporter to cover the rental industry, including the vacation rental business (focused on companies like Airbnb), rental tech startups, new technology, ILSs, multifamily property management companies, market analysis and what the traditional multifamily companies are doing to resist or embrace change.

With an engaged community of readers, Inman is an award-winning digital publication covering real estate breaking news, features and industry intelligence. (Inman has 600,000 monthly unique visitors.) Along with our staff journalists, Inman has nearly 200 contributing writers — from tech founders, brokers, agents, technology executives, consultants and property companies — who contribute on the subjects they are most passionate about.

We’re looking for someone with a smart and engaging style who can report and write original articles for Inman’s large and vertically engaged audience. The writer must have reporting and writing skills that apply to an online readership — integrating graphics and videos into stories that interest our knowledgeable readership.

The writer should have two to three years of journalism experience covering the real estate housing market and industry. Knowledge of the principles and ethics of journalism is a must. Bloggers welcomed.

The writer will be writing short dailies and longer weekly pieces.
