Home prices in March sat at or within 10 percent of peak levels in 27 states and the District of Columbia, as property values continued to grow across the country, according to data aggregator CoreLogic.
In seven states, including Colorado, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming, prices registered all-time highs, according to the CoreLogic Home Price Index, which tracks home values all the way back to January 1976.
National home prices ticked up 2 percent month over month in March, and were up 5.9 percent from a year ago, marking the 37th consecutive month of annual price gains.
CoreLogic sees that steady growth continuing for the foreseeable future, predicting that prices will increase 0.8 percent from March to April, and 5.1 percent from March 2015 to March 2016.
