Zillow vs realtor.com: Whose national TV ad is best?

With the unveiling of its 2015 national TV ad last week, realtor.com joins Zillow on the national TV airwaves this year, where the ads will compete for consumer mindshare.

Give your take on which portal’s ad you think best connects with consumers in Inman’s poll below.

Like realtor.com’s first-ever national TV ads last year, the latest ad, part of realtor.com’s new “real estate in real time” marketing campaign, uses a quirky charm to reach consumers.

One of realtor.com’s new national TV ads, which began airing today.

The spot, which begins airing today, features famous actress, producer and director Elizabeth Banks (best known for her movie roles in the “Hunger Games” trilogy and “Pitch Perfect”) helping a straight-laced guy find a home on the portal.

Zillow Group released its 2015 national TV ad for its flagship site Zillow — the portal’s fifth — in February. The ad is part of the firm’s $100 million 2015 consumer marketing campaign.

Zillow’s “Lake House” TV ad, which began airing in February.

Continuing its “Find Your Way Home” campaign, Zillow’s new ad, like those before it, takes an emotional approach. With affecting guitar and vocals playing softly in the background, it shows a grandmother, with her daughter and granddaughters, using Zillow to search for and find a lake home, which serves as a solo landing place after losing her husband.

The poll will be closed this Thursday at midnight Eastern time.
