The largest provider of corporate housing in New York City and Boston, Furnished Quarters, announced Tuesday that it would be releasing its first property management tool, MyFQ.

The company launched the program at the Forum for Expatriate Management NY Roadshow; it’s the first of its kind in the corporate housing industry. Available for both guests and housing program administrators, the MyFQ mobile-friendly website enables reporting capabilities and is intended to make scheduling simple.

The property management tool for the corporate housing industry is helping to streamline the process of managing and maintaining corporate housing. In the works for nearly two years, the tool fills the void that many housing program managers have been seeking.

Tools to make booking more streamlined have been introduced to the corporate housing industry, but Furnished Quarters is the first to offer a comprehensive solution for various facets of the market.

Furnished Quarters reported that they had conducted research over the past year to determine exactly what its client base was interested in having in the platform. MyFQ was built and and designed with clients specifically in mind to make it faster, easier and more cost-efficient to manage and rent corporate housing properties.

With the new tool, Furnished Quarters hopes to boost the industry standard and make clients come to expect the type of information they are making readily available.

“We asked our clients what they needed to make their jobs easier. What they told us was more transparency. Specifically, they wanted the ability to see information 24/7 about their guests staying with us — where they are staying, arrival/departure information, invoices, easy submission of service requests and status notifications,” said Robin Spindel, vice president of marketing at Furnished Quarters.

“They also wanted the ability to communicate with their guests instantly and to have reporting available on the fly.”

And that’s what clients get. For guests, they can view apartment and neighborhood details, pay for a reservation, obtain discounts to grocery delivery vendors, car services and other partners, as well as submit service requests and find information about the rental during their stay.

They will have access to a library of frequently asked questions to help solve issues while they are staying in the unit and find information regarding important nearby amenities like ATMs, pharmacies and the post office.

One of the biggest and most exciting components of the tool is the real-time access to data and information for corporate housing program managers. As the company is in the business of hospitality, it seemed to be a natural step to offer this type of round-the-clock service that makes both guests and corporate housing program mangers feel more at ease.

Corporate housing managers will have the most robust functionality of the platform available to them, but guests will also have some access to real-time data, such as the status of a service request.

“MyFQ gives clients access to everything they need to know about their guests’ reservations before, during and after their stay. We can even provide details and reporting on stays booked at global supply chain providers that are not in our core markets or our own inventory,” Spindel said.
