Takeaways:

  • Rental Retreat is a new short-term rental database from RealTimeRental.
  • Rental Retreat was designed for real estate and property management companies.
  • So far, the average booking price is $2,780.

Craigslist scams in the short-term rental industry seem to be at a high, so more and more short-term renters are turning to trustworthy resources for their getaways.

RealTimeRental’s newest short-term rental database, Rental Retreat, serves as a go-to source for vacation home renters and property managers.

Rental Retreat is host to more than 50,000 rental properties that are updated in real time to make sure that travelers can view what’s really available and that property managers have the highest probability of finding a short-term tenant.

The company plans to work with social media consultants, developers and SEO specialists to increase the site’s visibility and compete with the other vacation rental websites that have an established user base.

“Rental Retreat was designed with real estate and property management companies in mind. We wanted to make a simple, easy and affordable way for professionals in the vacation rental market to increase the online presence of their rental properties,” said Sherry Tomasso, co-founder of RealTimeRental vacation rental software, in a statement.

Before Rental Retreat, the folks behind the website have been in the business for about 14 years with RealTimeRental. As one of the first Web-based, short-term property rental websites, the founders have a good foundation of what it takes to create a successful brand from the perspective of both renters and property managers.

RealTimeRental has roughly 6,013 daily users and more than 200 clients. Throughout the history of the website, there have been more than 2 million total bookings and nearly 273,000 in 2015.

With Rental Retreat so far, the average booking price is $2,780. Tomasso also reported that the lead conversion rate is above the industry standard at 29 percent.

Currently, not all states in the country are covered, but major vacation property rental states like Arizona, California, Florida and Hawaii are included. Some areas of Costa Rica and Mexico are also featured on the website.
