What we can learn from rookie real estate agents

Brad Inman recently spoke with three new real estate agents to get their fresh take on the industry and what they think it’s going to take to be successful.

Raman Chawla

Raman Chawla is an agent with Windermere in Seattle. He learned about real estate — rentals and flips — from his dad. With a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington, Chawla worked as a dental assistant before becoming an agent.

Jessica Merel

Jessica Merel teamed up with her brother at Pacific Platinum Properties, Newport Beach, California. Merel has a degree from Cal State Northridge, California. She graduated in 2010 and worked in medical marketing before becoming an agent.

Richard Mycka

Richard Mycka is an agent with boutique firm Clark Partners Realty in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a marketing degree and spent most of his career in medical device sales.
