Are you working for the weekend or building for the future? Most people, when they retire, are dependent in some way on family members for support — and the reason is a lack of planning and long-term decision-making during their earning years.

This is a big problem in American society in general — and the flexibility that comes with a real estate career makes it an even larger one for agents.

Nearly everyone starts their career with the idea of planning, saving and retiring early. Can you name one person who’s said, “I want to work until I die?” Probably not…but life gets in the way, and before you know it, you’re middle-aged and still struggling just to pay the bills.

You can avoid this issue if you make a conscious decision to take action, so today we’re discussing what it really means to build your business around a plan for long-term success, and how you can put that plan to work in your real estate business.
