Commute time is a major factor in determining the best location for a home. In Houston, the average commute is 29.3 minutes, according to Graphiq. The city has a low rate of public transportation usage– only 2.37 percent of the population using public transit–and even fewer individuals walking and biking to work, 1.37 percent and 0.27 percent, respectively.
With the large majority of Houstonians getting to and from work by car, knowing the best neighborhood locale is key.
