Who got hired or promoted this week? Here’s our weekly rundown, in chronological order.

January 19

Ralph McLaughlin

Trulia announced that it has promoted Ralph McLaughlin to the role of chief economist. “Having a dedicated research team at Trulia is part of our commitment to making it easy and enjoyable to find a home. With Ralph’s expertise, we have shed light on how the real estate market has changed in the last few years, focusing on key consumer issues like affordability,” said Paul Levine, President of Trulia, in a statement.

Dave Petro

Dave Petro is the new senior vice president of sales and development at ClosingCorp, which provides residential real estate closing data and technology. “Dave has a deep understanding of SaaS sales management within the financial services space, and the use of information services to drive results in the mortgage, banking, and title insurance arenas,” said Brian Benson, ClosingCorp’s CEO, in a statement. “Dave is joining us at a perfect time: we nearly doubled our revenues as clients prepared for TRID, and this year, we expect to leverage that momentum and the introduction of exciting new capabilities to grow at an even faster pace.”

North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) announced that it hired Mark Godale as its graphic designer and media production specialist. “Mark is accustomed to developing cutting-edge marketing programs for high-profile clients such as KeyBank, John Deere and Adidas, and we are excited to have such a talented designer and production professional join our staff,” said Kelly McCarel, director of marketing and educational programs, NATIC, in a statement. “With Mark’s expertise and skillset, NATIC will continue to expand its marketing and educational programs to enhance its relationship with agents, and will further advance the way we deliver messages and programs to them.”

Rick Sharga

Rick Sharga has been promoted to chief marketing officer (from his role as executive vice president) of Ten-X (formerly Auction.c0m). “Ten-X is in an ideal position to positively impact the way the world thinks about transacting real estate, and Rick Sharga’s insight and expertise will be crucial as we prepare to launch game-changing technology that attracts and empowers a much broader audience,” said Ten-X chief executive officer Tim Morse in a statement. “The company has already benefited immensely from Rick’s leadership and vision over the past two and a half years, and we look forward to fully leveraging his capabilities in the role of chief marketing officer.”

Jeff Fisher

Skanska, a construction and development firm, promoted Jeff Fisher to vice president of business development for its Oregon and Southwest Washington building operations. “Since he moved into a business development role a year ago, Jeff has successfully collaborated with our local operations team to build relationships and secure new projects,” said Skanska executive vice president and general manager James Link in a statement. “He has worked tirelessly to further enhance our connections with the Portland business community.”

Mary Bane

Imortgage, a nonbank lender, announced that Mary Bane and Jim Weir were joining its executive team, Bane as vice president of regional production for the Midwest region and Weir as vice president of regional production for the South Central region. “Recruiting exceptional leaders reflects the company’s commitment to hiring and promoting dynamic, knowledgeable industry experts as we continue to expand into new markets,” said Dan Hanson, executive vice president of national production for imortgage, in a statement. “We are fortifying and expanding our national footprint to capture the increasing demand for mortgage services and to equip the company with the scale and agility to service a dynamic and changing market.”

Scott Lugar

Scott Lugar is the new senior vice president of advisory services at Sindeo, a mortgage marketplace. “Scott’s incredible track record makes us excited to have him on board as we aggressively scale tovdeliver the Sindeo experience in new markets,” said Sindeo’s co-founder and CEO, Nick Stamos, in a statement. “With the addition of Scott, we have added a leader who will help us fulfill our mission to make sure the best mortgage is accessible to everyone.”

WFG Lender Services named Gregory Klosterman as its new sales director. “Greg understands our clients’ perspective on the real estate transaction, and has always excelled at adapting to the needs of the customer,” said David Wilson, SVP of sales for WFGLS, in a statement. “He understands that we cannot succeed without the success of our clients, and makes it his priority in everything he does.”
