Behold: Lifestyle search on steroids

Say, would you like a property that’s between $400,000 and $600,000 located on a quiet street in a culturally rich and family-friendly area that’s within 30 minutes of both you and your spouse’s offices and is served by a top-notch school?

No problem!

Homebuyers can quickly pinpoint for-sale properties that match a laundry list of specifications like these by using agent and broker listing search websites powered by”single pass LifeStyle Consumer Search Portal,” a new website product from planetRE that could be described as “lifestyle search on steroids.”

The product represents perhaps the most powerful lifestyle-based search tool to hit the market yet, offering buyers the ability to narrow in on properties based on criteria including school quality, neighborhood character, noise level and commute times.

It joins other lifestyle-based search tools that real estate professionals can use to power their websites, such as RealScout and TLCEngine.

The product’s noise level-based search, a new type of search filter to the industry, sets it apart from many competitors. Buyers can set their preferred noise level for three types of noise: “traffic,” “airport” and “commercial.”

Another notable feature is the platform’s “Lifestyle Choices” search tool, which offers the filters: “culturally rich,” “everyday convenience,” “fun and hip,” “family friendly,” “golfer’s paradise,” “health and safety,” “pet friendly” and “shopping.”

Users can sign up to receive email alerts every time a property matching a specific set of search criteria hits the market. They can even set up these alerts for criteria that initially yield no results, so that when a property that matches the search parameters finally does list, they’ll be among the first to know.

Listing pages show data on all the characteristics built into the search tool, as well as utility costs, demographic composition and neighborhood photos.

On listing pages, users can also see points of interest on an embedded map, such as schools, restaurants, parks, grocery stores and places of worship. And they can request showing times or more information.

The platform is integrated with a customer relationship management system (CRM) that lets agents and brokers organize contacts and track the behavior of visitors that register on the site.
