Amanda Davenport, former contestant on the popular Fox Network show “Hell’s Kitchen,” is retiring her chef’s hat and joining Re/Max Advance Realty in South Miami.

Davenport hails from Vancouver, Washington and graduated from the acclaimed French Culinary Institute. She has since traveled across the globe in pursuit of fulfilling her cooking dreams, which skyrocketed during her time on Hell’s Kitchen.

Davenport has been a chef in major metropolitan cities, including Washington D.C. and New York City, as well as France and Germany. It wasn’t until 2009 that Davenport gained national attention for her participation in season six of the tough but comedic culinary competition hosted by Gordon Ramsay.

Lasting eight full rounds before leaving Hell’s Kitchen, Davenport did not win the sixth season, but went on to oversee kitchens in Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach, Florida.

“My career as a chef has been extraordinary and exciting, particularly during my time on the show,” Davenport said. “But it is now time to focus my full attention on real estate, and I am stoked to begin this new chapter in Miami, with a strong and supportive team at Re/Max Advance.”

Over 165 local real estate agents currently work under Re/Max Advance.

While Re/Max Advance services both commercial and residential clients, Davenport will focus on the latter. RMA assists clients across Coconut Grove, Pinecrest, Coral Gables, Kendall, South Miami, Key Biscayne and Brickell.

Davenport will be working out of the RMA’s office in South Miami. RMA was awarded Florida Office of the Year by Re/Max in 2011.

“Amanda’s tenacious work ethic and infectious personality have served her well in fine restaurants around the globe, and as Gordon Ramsey pointed out, she’s a quick learner with a sharp brain,” Anthony Askowitz, broker and owner of RMA, said in a statement. “We are 100 percent confident that those qualities will transfer smoothly into her career as a Realtor in Miami’s competitive market.”
