Wall Street’s highest-ranking woman to speak at ICNY

As Wall Street’s highest ranking woman, Sallie Krawcheck has a track record of driving growth and spearheading innovative practices, from reimbursing individual investor clients during the financial downturn while serving as Citi Global Wealth Management’s CEO and Chair, to launching Merrill Lynch’s on-line offerings as CEO of the company.

As the current CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest, a just-launched digital investment platform for women, Krawcheck’s mission is to help women reach their financial and professional goals.

On Wednesday, January 18, 2017 Krawcheck will take the stage at Inman Connect New York to discuss insights from her latest endeavor, a soon-to-be released book, Own It: The Power of Women at Work.

The book picks up the conversation where Sheryl Sandberg left off, offering women a new set of rules to take their careers to the next level. Women are on the brink of an extraordinary rise and as Krawcheck says, “It’s time to OWN IT.”

The session promises to be enlightening for both sexes, particularly anyone who has a hand in shaping workplace culture, has asked for a raise, worked in a collaborative work environment or mentored colleagues.

“So much advice for women has been about how to succeed within the confines of the business world as it exists today. But that world is changing, and with it, so are the strategies needed to get ahead. And these changes are advancing women in unprecedented ways. Because in today’s increasingly complex, connected, and technology-driven world where communication and collaboration rule, the skills and qualities that matter most are ones that women inherently possess: in spades.

“Traits that make women great leaders, effective team players, and more valuable assets to businesses than ever. Thus, the path forward to for women says Krawcheck, is not to mute these qualities, but to own them, to double-down on them, and to bring them — proudly and unapologetically — to work.”

The content  covered in Krawcheck’s talk is not only essential for any business owner or employee, it’s also timely as America prepares to vote in an election with its first female presidential candidate on the ticket.

Don’t miss the chance to hear first-hand from one of Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business” and Forbes’ and Fortune’s Most Powerful Women” in business.

This session will happen only once — at Inman Connect on Wednesday, January 18, 2017  in New York. Reserve your seats now before prices go up.
