Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are just some of the big Hollywood names to buy in Brooklyn — the celebrity couple just bought a full-floor condo in the same Brooklyn Heights property as Matt Damon for $11 million.

The Standish, which was transformed from the former Standish Arms Hotel and is located at 169 Columbia Heights, is one of the New York borough’s most talked-about residences. A week ago, news broke that Damon bought a condo there for $16.75 million, making it the most expensive condo purchase in Brooklyn history.

The limestone building, which first opened as a hotel in 1903 and has recently been converted into a 33-unit residential building, has reportedly served as inspiration for Clark Kent’s home in the Superman  comics and movies.

The Standish. Streeteasy.

As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, Blunt and Krasinski bought out two door-to-door condos – most likely with plans to combine it into one huge apartment. While the exact square footage of their new place is not yet available, the couple purchased it through a trust fund last year.

The high prices of The Standish indicate celebrities’ growing interest in Brooklyn. Blunt and Krasinski, evidently, prefer to live nowhere else on the East Coast — last May, the couple sold its 5,200-square-foot Park Slope townhouse for $6.5 million.
