A California home with a harrowing history just hit the market. The Los Feliz mansion, where cardiologist Harold Perelson once killed his wife with a hammer in 1959, is up for sale for $3.5 million.

The listing, which was first spotted by Realtor.com, has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home made history after Perelson’s 18-year-old daughter escaped and told police about how her father had bludgeoned his mother to death in the master bedroom and tried to kill her and her siblings before taking his own life.

Still, the 1920s home has had many owners over the years. Lisa Bloom, a famous civil rights attorney, Today Show legal analyst and former truTV host, is selling the home with her husband Braden Pollock this time around.

Bloom and Pollock bought the house in 2016 in a probate sale, in which an estate attorney hires an agent to sell off a deceased person’s property.

While the couple undertook a renovation project following the purchase, much of the 5,000-plus-square-foot house has fallen into disrepair. Photos show a grand ballroom, several dining rooms as well as a library and a study.

Scott Pinkerton and Jeff Simon of Century 21 Peak are the listing agents tasked with selling the property.

“We spent a couple years designing a new home, which we were looking forward to building and then living in,”  Pollock told Inman, adding that they were not bothered by the history of the house when they bought it.

In the celebrity-studded Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz, the house is a well-known sight that is mired in legend. Bloom, meanwhile, is a daughter of high-profile civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, and the attorney representing three women who accused former Fox news anchor Bill O’Reilly of sexual harassment in 2017.
