In this interview with Warburg Realty’s President Clelia Peters at Inman Connect Las Vegas, Zigg Capital’s Founder and CEO Dave Eisenberg discusses investment and financial trends in the property technology financing industry and what it all means for real estate.

Eisenberg is a serial entrepreneur and runs a $100 million venture capital fund focused on the real estate and construction industries. Prior to founding Zigg, he was the global senior vice president of technology at CBRE. He came to CBRE via the acquisition of Floored, a technology company he founded and was CEO of from 2012-2017.

Eisenberg noted that for every company that’s trying to disrupt the real estate industry, there’s another that’s trying  to help incumbents compete with the disruptors. He advised the audience to use the tech companies’ services or risk turning them into competitors.

Among other things, Eisenberg also noted the rise of technology-driven property management companies in the single family home rental business. Zigg has invested in a Florida-based company called Great Jones Property Management, which is a company that seeks to make the property management experience “delightful,” rather than painful, like a trip to the dentist, he said.
