Sotheby’s International Realty announced on Friday an update to Curate, the brokerage’s roOomy-powered augmented reality staging app. With the update, Sotheby’s agents can virtually stage listings with exclusive furniture and decor from Perigold, Wayfair.com’s luxury brand.

Perigold’s living room staging

“Our collaboration with Perigold builds upon the continued excitement from our global network and agents to provide clients with the latest and best in technology,” John Passerini, Sotheby’s global vice president of Interactive Marketing, said in prepared statement.

“Perigold’s fine furnishings include pieces from cutting-edge innovators and heritage-rich mainstays, making them ideally situated to advance the Curate by Sotheby’s International Realty AR app.”

“The addition of the high-end furnishings will further enable Sotheby’s International Realty sales associates to stage a home that best suits the aesthetic and lifestyle of their clients,” he added.

With the partnership, Perigold has provided options for the bedroom and dining, living, and recreation rooms. To virtually stage a listing, agents must open the Curate app and choose the Perigold collection. From there, they’ll be asked to scan the floor with their phone’s camera to get the room’s dimensions.

Once they’ve scanned the entire floor and confirmed the layout, Perigold’s furniture and decor will populate the room. If a buyer likes any of the furniture or decor, they can purchase it through links to Perigold on the Curate app or through Sotheby’s “shop-a-room” function on their global website.

The options range from a $40 red pillar vase for the dining room to a $3,099 Perigold brand king standard bed for the master suite or a $6,175 Ambella Home Collection couch for a recreation room.

“Through this relationship, consumers and real estate agents alike will discover how fine furniture and décor – some of which were previously only available to industry professionals – can truly elevate a room and captivate even the most discerning clientele,” Perigold General Manager Rebecca Ginns said.

This is the fourth exclusive partnership Sotheby’s has offered for the Curate app, which includes designs by Emily Henderson, Elle Decor, Veranda, and Town and Country. The brokerage also offers 16 other Sotheby’s-designed rooms for modern, rustic, and transitional design tastes.
