Head of NAR’s tech accelerator program judging Techweek LAUNCH

Constance Freedman — the National Association of Realtors’ vice president of strategic investments, and managing director of NAR’s “tech accelerator” program, REach — is one of six judges at Techweek LAUNCH.

More than 70 startups are exhibiting today in Chicago at “Startup City.” Judges will select the top four to pitch on the main stage, and one startup will be selected by attendees as a “People’s Choice” nominee. The five finalists will give a round of pitches and participate in a Q-and-A for the chance to win more than $100,000 in cash and prizes.

NAR’s strategic investment arm, Second Century Ventures, launched REach last year with the goal of introducing  innovative technology companies to the real estate marketplace each year. Seven companies have been selected so far.

Freedman (@COFreedman) is scheduled to participate in a Wednesday, July 10 panel, at Real Estate Connect San Francisco, “Raising Money to Build Your Vision.” Angel investors, venture capitalists and funded startups will talk about business ideas that have caught their attention in the real estate technology space today.

Also participating will be Doug Perlson, founder and CEO of RealDirect (@DougPerlson); Sean Jacobsohn, venture partner, Emergence Capital Partners (@sjacobsohn); Sina Shekou, co-founder, Propertyware; and Dana Kunz, CEO, MktLaunch (@dana_kunz‎).
