Housefax, a firm that harvests historical data from thousands of sources to produce property reports, has signed MilitaryByOwner Advertising Inc. as the first real estate listing site in its national affiliate marketing program, Housefax announced today.

As a partner in Housefax’s new program, MilitaryByOwner Advertising’s listing portal, militarybyowner.com, will display a link that lets users purchase property reports from Housefax.com. In return for every property report purchased by a user, MilitaryByOwner Advertising will earn a referral fee, according to terms of the revenue-sharing program announced late last month.

Housefax, a service that former realtor.com CEO Allan Dalton is helping to steer, aggregates information on building permits, mortgages, fires, floods and sink holes, among other data, and packages it into property reports.

Each full report costs $59. The reports are designed to complement a professional home inspection, seller’s disclosure and repair documentation.

Militarybyowner.com has advertised more than 300,000 homes and attracts 45 million annual page views, according to Housefax.
