Zillow has released free iPhone and iPad apps for its Postlets syndication platform that will allow landlords and property managers to manage, create and distribute rental listings to more than 20 rental sites on the go.

The new mobile apps will allow Postlets users to post rental listings with an unlimited number of photos, note amenities and write descriptions, and publish rental listings to sites like Zillow, Trulia, Yahoo Homes, AOL Real Estate, Craigslist, Zumper, Rentenna, Lovely and others. The app also allows users to share the rental listings on Facebook and Twitter.

Landlords and property managers “have been asking for the ability to post listings on the go, and the Postlets App meets this need — and also makes it easy to manage listings after publication, with support for editing, sharing, renewal and expiration,” said Greg Schwartz, chief revenue officer at Zillow, in a statement.

Postlets, which Zillow acquired in 2011, allows agents to distribute for-sale and rental listings to 21 sites, but Zillow notes that the iPhone and iPad mobile apps are exclusively for rentals.

Rental site Zumper released a similar iPhone app in April that allows users to publish rental listings to zumper.com, where they can then be distributed to other sites.

Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff said earlier this year that Zillow’s rentals wing will be a “significant focus” for the firm in 2014.
