WellcomeMat, a video solution specifically developed for real estate, has launched a “Video Marketplace” that lets customers work with third-party product offerings, technology and content solutions.

Integrating marketplace services with users’ WellcomeMat accounts and video library will allow them to blast video emails using BombBomb, incorporate market videos from VScreen, or automatically add professional narration to their videos using Voiceover Toolbox. Those companies are all offering their services to WellcomeMat users at a discount.

“We are eliminating the fragmentation that exists amongst video services and furthering WellcomeMat’s position as the best software platform for people and companies wanting to maximize the value of their content,” WellcomeMat co-founder Christian Sterner said in an e-mail.

In interview with Inman News columnist Tom Flanagan, Sterner explained why WellcomeMat has positioned itself as an “anti-YouTube.”

“YouTube is great, but not for real estate companies or consumers,” Sterner said. “The industry loves that video has inherent SEO benefits and social appeal. But, just like any other content on agents’ and brokers’ websites and mobile apps, video can be used to build traffic and audience. It’s easy to statistically prove that YouTube eliminates this ability, pulling viewers into YouTube.”

In July, WellcomeMat announced a strategic alliance with EXIT Realty Corp. International, giving agents at affiliated brokerages access to WellcomeMat’s video content marketing system and filmmaker network.
