Trulia has expanded its digital footprint with an app made specifically for Apple TV.

According to Trulia’s blog, the app’s main features include “immersive content” that allows users to feel as if they are actually in their new home by providing large, clear photos of every corner of the home — from the bathroom to the bedroom, kitchen and beyond.

“Trulia wants to make finding a home easy and enjoyable, whether you’re on the go and searching or browsing on your phone or smartwatch, and now from the comforts of home,” said Trulia’s director of consumer public relations, Monica Ma.

“The Trulia app for Apple TV also enables you to collaborate with loved ones on the home shopping experience on the big screen.”

In addition to full-screen, crystal-clear pictures, buyers will be able to watch video walkthroughs of their favorite listings like they’ve never been able to before.

“Video content is a compelling addition to the photography of a listing, giving consumers a real feel for the flow of a home, and we know our consumers are going to love getting a clear sense of the space, right from the comfort of their living room,” wrote Trulia writer Mili Dutta.

Also, buyers can browse collections of homes based on categories, such as “Safe Neighborhoods,” “Great Walk Score” or “Short Commute Times.” Each of the collections is automatically created through Trulia’s proprietary algorithm that powers its desktop and mobile sites and apps.

Furthermore, the app supports dictation, so users will be able to speak to the TV to search for specific addresses and areas.

Moreover, the app allows buyers to drill down into the fine aspects of any neighborhood, such as local crime and school maps.

And finally, Trulia has taken the upgraded navigation and search features of its Apple TV app and applied it to its iOS app, which features a new bottom navigation bar, larger images and a fresh design.

Ma says each of these additions and updates will make the overall home search process easier, more interactive, collaborative and enjoyable for Trulia users.
