Survey: How serious are you about your real estate career?

It’s a classic case of a few bad apples spoiling a barrel: There are too many real estate agents in the industry who don’t take their profession seriously, and that affects the perception of the industry as a whole.

But these “marginal agents” (as they were called in the DANGER Report commissioned by the National Association of Realtors in 2015) don’t represent the vast majority of people who call themselves real estate agents — do they?

What does a typical career path for an agent look like (if there is one)? How many hours per week does a typical agent work? What about brokers? What kind of investment are your peers putting into their own professional development, and who’s helping them? Are agents paying for their own health insurance policies? What do their retirement plans look like?

Inman is collecting data about real estate agents at work for our latest special report. Fill out the survey for a chance to win a free pass to all five days of content at Inman Connect New York.
