HomeSmart opens Colorado Springs office

HomeSmart, Colorado’s largest real estate brokerage by agent count, is adding a new office in Colorado Springs to add to its already large footprint in the Rocky Mountain State.

“HomeSmart is committed to building and empowering our agents,” HomeSmart COO Wendy Forsythe said in a statement. “Now we have one more location from which we can provide everything an agent needs to be successful.”

HomeSmart has only been operating in Colorado since 2015, but has rapidly grown to more than 2,350 agents across 15 locations in the state. The brokerage’s acquisition of Cherry Creek Properties in May 2017 made it evident that they needed to open additional locations to support the growing number of agents, the company said in a release.

HomeSmart Colorado is a franchise that’s part of the HomeSmart International portfolio, which boasts nearly 16,000 agents and approximately 166 offices in 28 states. Matt Widdows is the owner of HomeSmart Colorado as well as the founder and CEO of HomeSmart International, which operates on a low-fee, 100 percent commission plan for its agents.

“Continued growth in Colorado has been a key objective for a while now and adds to the 32 locations we’ve added this year,” Widdows said.

The new Colorado Springs office will hold continuing education classes to teach agents about the latest technology and marketing techniques.

“I love being a part of an organization the provides the ability to be on the cutting edge of technology and ideas,” Lynn Chute, HomeSmart Colorado managing director, said in a statement. “I am constantly looking for ways to improve the real estate experience not only for brokers but homeowners as well.”
