Brokerage-owned real estate technology firm MoxiWorks has brought on two new hires with experience in various corners of the real estate industry, including at Zillow and the National Association of Realtors.

Kirsten “Kiki” Wanshura and Heather Glass have joined Seattle-based MoxiWorks as directors of business development. The two new hires will act as trusted technology advisers for brokerages, helping them navigate the sea of choices available among both MoxiWorks’ six products and offerings from other companies, according to a MoxiWorks spokesperson.

“We have over 40+ partners now so we also help brokerages assemble a competitive tech stack that works best for their specific needs. There’s an abundance of technology solutions out there and it can be daunting for the brokerage to know all of the questions to ask, how to vet, select, and onboard, etc. Our business development team helps them weather that tech storm as it relates to MoxiWorks or not,” the spokesperson told Inman via email.

Kirsten “Kiki” Wanshura

Wanshura has more than 20 years experience in the industry. She worked as a real estate agent for eight years until 2005, during which time she also worked as a continuing education instructor at the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors, according to her LinkedIn profile. She subsequently spent several years as a regional sales manager and vice president at real estate marketing firm Obeo.

Wanshura most recently worked as a regional director at Realtors Property Resource (RPR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Association of Realtors, for four years until June, when she joined MoxiWorks. At RPR she was in charge of increasing usage of RPR’s software among Realtors through support and training and of managing relationships with Realtor association and multiple listing service (MLS) leaders, according to the profile. (Only 12 percent of NAR members use RPR’s software regularly, according to the most recent figures released by the company.)

Heather Glass

Glass, who started at MoxiWorks in February, has more than 18 years of experience in real estate tech and marketing, including e-mail marketing, display advertising, lead generation and SaaS solutions, MoxiWorks said in a press release.

This includes three years as a regional sales manager for Connecting Neighbors, a stint as sales manager at Homescape.com, and just over two years as a director of broker engagement in the Southeast region for Zillow Group where she was in charge of developing and nurturing partnerships with brokers and franchisors, according to her LinkedIn profile.

“It’s exciting to be rounding out our team with extremely seasoned women in the industry, both that come with impressive backgrounds and highly recommended from many brokerages that we work with and the real estate community,” said Georgia Perez, MoxiWorks’ vice president of business development and product evangelism, in a statement.

She added, “It’s also great to be adding more women to work with in tech!”

Ring Nishioka, the company’s vice president of human resources and operations noted that “MoxiWorks is enjoying significant growth,” prompting several new hires at the 7-year-old company, which now has nearly 100 full-time employees.

MoxiWorks, which is owned by Windermere Real Estate, Long & Foster and Howard Hanna, counts 72 brokerages with more than 120,000 agents among its customers, who account for 13 percent of U.S. real estate transactions, according to the company.
