Tech-focused brokerage and referral site ZipRealty Inc. has updated its Apple and Android mobile apps to allow consumers to make it easier for them to find info on unlisted homes and to filter pending sales from their home search.

Similar to a feature ZipRealty released with its “Seller Center” in June, a “single-address” search function lets mobile users access the price history and three home value estimates for homes not on the market with data from the multiple listing services in the 35 markets the firm is active in.

Other features of the upgrade include:

  • A text message feature that streamlines the sharing of listings and home details via text message.
  • An enhancement to the home details on the map and list views to aid a quick view.
  • An ability to save home and map searches on iPad and Android apps (not the iPhone app).
  • A redesign of StreetScan, the firm’s trademarked augmented reality tool.

ZipRealty, which operates as a brokerage in 19 markets and a referral site in 16 others, posted its largest year-over-year growth in three years in the second quarter with a 7 percent increase with a revenue of $21.7 million in the quarter.

In April, the firm launched a mobile-optimized version of its website, currently the 11th most visited real estate-related site from desktop computers in the U.S., according to Experian Marketing Services.
