Placester opens office in Boston’s financial district

Real estate marketing platform Placester had a huge year in 2015 — it netted a total of $42 million to launch new products and services. And it’s been busy announcing new growth initiatives in 2016, from an industry partner program for real estate tech vendors to a big collaboration with one of the country’s biggest franchisors.

The next big “ta-da” from Placester? An office of its very own at 100 High Street in Boston. It will move in this Wednesday, March 2.

“In the past year, Placester experienced rapid growth — from funding to national contracts to nearly 100 new additions to our team,” said CEO Matt Barba in a statement. “We’re excited to take our business to the next level with this new custom-built office space.”

“Pulling inspiration from the industry at its core — real estate — Placester’s team joined with IA Interior Architects to design the 31,000 square foot space to emulate rooms and scenes in a home,” reads a press release the company issued this morning. “The office hallways mimic a sidewalk, creating a path that winds through ‘dens,’ communal workspaces with homey furnishings, and ‘yards,’ recreational areas with green carpeting and games. Each conference room is named after a room in a home — dining room, living room, alcove.”

The walls have been coated with IdeaPaint, which turns surfaces into whiteboards for dry-erase markers — ready for brainstorming and collaboration after the grand opening takes place in a couple of days.
