Joe McCalip spent nearly 20 years desiring a career as a full-time real estate agent. The fear of the unknown with a wife and a baby on the way kept him on the sidelines, until through life experiences, he decided that he didn’t want to live with any regrets. Then, there was no stopping him.

After a lackluster beginning as part-time agent, he sought the help of a coach. Armed with new tools, systems and the accountability necessary to build a business, McCalip was on fire!

In just 60 days (30 days short of his original goal), he left his salaried job and jumped in with both feet. So, what are the keys to McCalip’s first-year success?

The three lead generation “spokes” that he can’t live without? Investors, centers of influence and expired listings. Before coaching, McCalip would have never knocked on an expired listing’s door.

Now he’s taking full advantage of every opportunity. The other cornerstone to his business is protecting his schedule with a media-free morning, making it free of distractions, so that he can focus on setting appointments.

What has McCalip most benefitted from in the last year? He said accountability has been instrumental. It’s helped him build the life he’s always dreamed of and still keep his family, church and personal life at the top of his priority list.

With a strong commitment to his family and a newly budding career, McCalip still counts every demand on his time as a blessing.

Listen to hear more about McCalip’s struggles and lessons learned on his exciting journey to the top.
