Compass is expanding on its existing footprint in Colorado by adding two new offices in Denver and Boulder, building on its already robust coverage of the Rocky Mountain state in the ski resort towns of Telluride and Aspen.

“Colorado is consistently named one of fastest-growing states in the country, netting more than 70,000 new residents per year over the past 5 years,” Compass Chief Growth Officer Rob Lehman said in a statement Wednesday. “Given the strong market growth and activity, there is an enormous opportunity to elevate the real estate experience for agents across the state.”

Compass is opening the new offices with a dozen agents, who, combined, have generated more than $400 million in sales volume over the past year, according to the announcement. Opened in 2016, the Aspen office currently boasts 35 agents. The Telluride office opened in September.

The two new markets are the latest moves in Compass’ voracious expansion, which saw the company launch in markets including Dallas, Seattle, San Diego, Philadelphia, Fort Worth, Atlanta, Austin, Nashville and Houston last year.

The company’s most recent expansion has been fueled by its strong funding round of $400 million in September. The company has also used some of that money to learn further into its technology platform development.

“We’re excited to expand our Colorado presence and pair our technology and resources with some of the most respected real estate brokers in both Denver and Boulder to create an unparalleled experience for home buyers and sellers,” Lehman said.

Compass currently boasts more than 8,000 agents across 165 offices and plans to soon expand internationally.
