Keller Williams boosts CRM with Porch integration

Keller Williams announced Thursday its integrating software from Porch, a home improvement market place startup, into its proprietary customer relationship management tool, Command. Porch’s repair estimate app will be available to Keller Williams agents via the Keller Cloud, an artificial intelligence-fueled real estate cloud for agents.

“Home buying is a stressful and emotional process,” Porch CEO Matt Ehrlichman said in a statement. “By the time buyers complete their home inspection, they are eager to close the deal.”

“The Porch Repair Estimate Report brings a new level of transparency at this crucial stage – helping agents quickly have guaranteed and defensible estimates for their negotiations and helping homeowners truly understand the cost of repairs for their new home,” Ehrlichman added.

The repair estimate, at this time, is sponsored by Keller Williams, meaning that agents and homebuyers can request it at no cost when it’s ordered through Command.

Porch generates the estimate using algorithms and a team of pricing experts to utilize labor and material rate data in the home’s market, to generate the estimates. The report is delivered in 48 hours, but a rush order can be placed for a nominal fee.

Once the report is delivered, agents and homebuyers can add different items and make different requests, with the help of a personal concierge that will follow up with the homebuyer.

Keller Williams is building its own end-to-end real estate platform – as evidenced by the debut of Command, its customer relationship management tool and the preview of its forthcoming consumer app – but the company isn’t working to build a closed system. Through the Keller Cloud, agents will be able to choose different solutions from outside vendors like Porch, DocuSign and others.

Porch is also joining other companies like Market Leader, in the Keller Cloud Innovator program, allowing the company to further collaborate with Keller Williams and other leading tech companies through Keller Cloud.
