Homesnap Pro is one of the industry’s most comprehensive real estate agent apps, giving verified MLS members more tools and data to connect to colleagues and broaden their market presence, such as the recently announced Facebook Video Ads campaign feature.

The ad creation tool offers a selection of templates to choose from, specific budget limits and ZIP-code targeting.

Based on marketing videos and information I’ve seen, Homesnap Pro’s ad setup interface looks less cumbersome than Facebook’s native ad set creator. I have extensive experience running Facebook ad campaigns and attest to them being tedious to build. I’m still not confident in what I’ll end up spending.

If Homesnap can serve as intermediary for its customers to ease the process, then that alone makes it a valuable tool — because Facebook ads work, as long as you stay on top of them.

Visuals, content and Instagram integration

Having ad designs created for you is another nice benefit of this new Homesnap Pro feature. Facebook has rather strict parameters on images, and most non-power users would grow frustrated trying to dial it in.

And although the ad creative for the Facebook Video Ads doesn’t appear overly compelling, it would likely capture someone who is considering buying or selling, especially if the promoted listing matched the consumer’s ZIP code.

Content-wise, ads feature a headline, succinct supporting copy and a call to action. Animated highlights roll over imagery and an agent’s name and headshot can be included.

Agents have the ability to advertise listings, encourage home value solicitations or push their team’s recent listing success. Homesnap Pro customers can also choose landing pages that correspond with each ad type, and all ads are optimized for mobile and desktop viewing environments.

Content is automatically adjusted for agents every week, alleviating yet another facet of management.

Moreover, Homesnap Pro ads can be replicated on Instagram, a nice integration option. However, make sure you have a significantly active account on the image sharing app before activating that feature.

Leveraging the social media giant: A smart strategy

I first reviewed Homesnap Pro in March of last year before our rating system was in place. The app as a whole would get 4 stars, it’s fair to say, with this new feature adding value.

It’s nice to see another real estate technology provider keeping pace with consumers, as Facebook has evolved eons beyond its initial intent of connecting old friends.

Heck, I’d wager more people today use Facebook for news and activity content than finding out what old girlfriends are up to. It’s a media platform, above all else.

Real estate agents should leverage it as such.
